My Star - Lola
Hello, I’m Fenella. The canine coach at Dog-Star. Growing up around dogs, I have always felt super connected to these faithful companions. They offer so much love and ask for very little in return. Today however, more than ever, they need our help to live in today’s chaotic world.
Although I have enjoyed a deep connection with all the dogs in my life, my inspiration for dog training kicked off with Lola aka “Lols”, my Italian Spinone. Lola and I discovered that training goes way beyond basic commands - it is a rewarding experience of mutual learning and understanding, that opens an incredible pathway for communication between dog and owner. Together, we ran through agility courses, mastered fun tricks, and enjoyed enriching outdoor adventures. It was a fulling experience for us both. Most importantly, Lola was a well-balanced, confident, happy individual throughout her life and was in my opinion was a solid 5 Stars!
I believe in guiding behaviors that promote safety and positive social engagement, rather than enforcing strict obedience. I encouraged Lola to express her personality, even if it means the occasional hat or sock went zipping around the house. For me, finding the balance between training and letting a dog express their personality is key to a harmonious relationship within the family.
